ObsBox (Observation System), based on a server PC
equipped with SPEC modules. The first use of the ObsBox
will be the LHC Longitudinal Diagnostics, where the
SPECS receive gigabit serial data across fibre-optic
cables from a beam phase measurement module located in
UX45. Installed in June 2015.
Readout of Calorimeters. Data from Gandalf digitizer comes
over four 3.125 Gbps links into four SPEC cards.
Design based on BE/RF system that also streams data from SFP
