Power Supply
- non-redundant power supply in the basic version of the WRS
- standard connector (power/diagnostics) to allows redundant/swappable power supply
- enough current for DWDM
NOTE: No redundant/swappable power supply in basic switch version - too expensive (429$ vs 80$) and would induce vendor lock-in
FANs
- Non-redundant FAN in the basic version of the WRS
- standard connector to allow redundant/swappable FANs
- good quality with speed measurement supported by HW
- airflow - blow out of device to minimize airflow-induced jitter (TBD blow to front/back)
- Fan control in PCB
NOTE1: No redundant/swappable FANs in basic switch version - too expensive
NOTE2: no fanless, it is not sufficient for DWDM
