The previous implementation only worked for single-digit channels
(e.g. LC-I9) and not above (e.g. LC-I10).

The tb was broken after the latest release because of:

a) new project name for the fmc-adc-100m dependency
b) new register map
c) different frame clock because of 14-bit serialisation

Was:
* wrong memset
* double free
* use of uninitialized variable
