The DI/OT kit offers a selection of interchangeable communication solutions to cover the different performance and environment requirements of the DI/OT applications. The solutions come all in the FMC-LPC form factor to be plugged on the DI/OT System Board.

In radiation-free zones, the DI/OT offering includes:

• PROFINET: for applications requiring mainly integration with off-the-shelf Industrial Ethernet equipment
• White Rabbit: for applications requiring a redundant link for high-bandwidth and sub-ns synchronisation.

In radiation-exposed zones, the offering includes:

• WorldFIP: for applications requiring compatibility with existing LHC equipment
• Ethernet-POWERLINK: for applications requiring higher bandwidth or integration with off-the-shelf Industrial Ethernet equipment.
