Prevent MMC resets when opening terminal for controlling serial ports on Linux
We have been following this discussion about the unwanted DTS-RTS behavior in Marble-Mini which causes MMC reset when opening serial terminal in Linux: https://github.com/BerkeleyLab/Marble-Mini/issues/60
It seems that their workaround may not be usable in AFC v4 since there's no unused UART port left, although I'm not sure about that.
In case we need it, would it be possible to chop off the auxiliary FPGA UART and use the remaining FT4232 port for bit bang on DTS and RTS? What is the intended use of the aux UART?
If not, is the XNOR discrete logic our last resort?
