Centralized dot-config configuration
With v4.2 release we have a central dot-config configuration file for a WRS. The configuration can be fetched on run-time from a central server using tftp/ftp/http protocols. The dot-config combines a per-port configuration and SFP database found earlier in /wr/etc/wrsw_hal.conf and /wr/etc/sfp_database.conf and provides a set of new options not available in previous releases. The most important ones are:
- WRS mode of operation (Grand Master, Free-running Master, Boundary Clock)
- Management Ethernet port IP configuration (static or dhcp)
- Root password (in clear text or encrypted)
- Remote Syslog server
- SNMP agent configuration
- Temperature thresholds for alarm generation
- CLK2 output clock parameters (10MHz by default)
