Respir-OS
Project description
Respir-OS is a fully-functional mechanical ventilator for COVID-19 patients. The proposed solution aims to be as low cost as possible, while retaining many of the features of commercial-grade ventilators. Currently, the estimated cost of manufacturing is around 500€. As an open solution, all the necessary resources are provided as part of the project, including the source code, list of components and schematics for the PCB and 3D printed parts.
The project started as a prototype made at the University of Huelva (UHU), which was later joined by the University of Granada (UGR) for the electronic design and programming aspects. Many people contributed to the project.
