FielDrive
FielDrive is a line driver chip dedicated to interface a protocol
component to a copper twisted pair through an insulating transformer.
It is housed in a PLCC 28 pins package. It is produced by the company
Alstom.
In 2012, CERN purchased 4’000 FielDrive chips, all coming from the exact
same batch: 1132A, and in mid 2013 it was decided to validate
the batch under radiation, at the Fraunhofer
facility.
