Release v6.1
Among various exciting new features and bugfixes this new firmware includes:
- Display information about GrandMaster in wr_mon
- Informing about unrecognized SFP in wr_mon
- Improved reporting of offset between NTP and WR time via SNMP
- Support of disabling SFP’s TX laser with wrs_sfp_dump
- Fixes in handling of SFP’s diagnostics (if SFP diagnostic is used with firmware v6.0.x it can corrupt SFP’s eeprom!)
- Detection whether a switch is a low-jitter version (displayed in wrs_version, SNMP and web interface), and fix to leap-seconds.list update
- Addition of a subset of IP-MIB, BRIDGE-MIB and QBRIDGE-MIB objects to SNMP support
- Implementation of sysObjectID OID value to reflect WRS manufacturer and HW version
- Implementation of radius-802.1X for MAC authentication (subset of IEEE 802.1X)
- Support of LLDP with VLANs
- Small fixes in webinterface (it is still not recommended to use webinterface due to not fixed security issues, more on #266 (closed))
wrs-user-manual was updated with with the description of new functionality and the new configuration items in dot-config.
There is a new document WRS: Radius Vlan describing Implementation and usage of radius-802.1X for MAC authentication (subset of IEEE 802.1X).
wrs-developer-manual and WRS: Failures and Diagnostics contain only a minor changes.
This release uses exactly the same FPGA bitstream as the v6.0.x, thus the same calibration parameters apply.
The list of most important new features and fixes can be found on the wiki page for WR Switch software project.
