- Typically, after 285 μs, AUX_DATA will contain a 16-bit value representing 100 times the sunlight UV Index.
- Used in SILICON LABS development kit SLSTK3201A (Farnell CARTE DE DEV EFM32ZG222F32)
- It doesn’t seem to contain a UV photodiode, so it seems to be
inferring the UV index from a combination of visible and IR.
Likely it takes some ratio of visible to IR and infers the solar index assuming a standard sunlight spectrum and some calibration coefficients.- Page 63, Figure 20: Photodiode Centers shows "Small IR photodiode and visible photodiode" (stacked) and "Large IR photodiode". So no UV sensor.

- Arduino UV sensor have typically a resolution of 1 UV factor i.e. 0.1 MED/hr, so cannot be used.
