Updating the SVEC bootloader in the PTS to Version 3.

Note:* this only concerns the manufacturers of the SVEC boards. Ordinary users can update the bootloader by following the instructions in the SVEC Gateware Manual.

To benefit from the new features of V3.0 bootloader, the SVEC Production Test System must be modified to flash the new version of the bootloader. The update procedure goes as follows:

  • If your PTS system has never been updated with the version 2.0 of the bootloader, do it first by following this procedure.
  • Download the V3.0 bootloader in Xilinx .BIT format from the Files section
  • Overwrite the file /home/pts/ubuntu/pts/boot/Flasher/production_flasher/svec_bootloader.bit on the SVEC PTS laptop with the newly downloaded bootloader bitstream.
  • Run the PTS on a card that is known to work to check if everything is OK.
