LUVI - Low UV Intensity meter
LUVI is a robust handheld Low UV Intensity meter meant for people with a highly sensitive skin to check if they are in a UV-free environment.
The meter is developed in collaboration with the French Enfants de la Lune association.
The project started with ThePort hackathon 2015 to help children suffering from Xeroderma pigmentosum (XP), a genetic disorder that causes extreme sensitivity to ultraviolet light.
The design (electronics and mechanics) is available under open licenses and the design is exclusively made with free design tools. The graphics design is copyrighted and reserved for the Enfants de la Lune association.
