WRS does not genereate PPS in free running master
When WRS is configured as Free running master according to the WRS user's manual it should generate PPS all the time:
Free-running Master (CONFIG_TIME_FM, PTP clock class 193) PPS generation is always enabled.
As long as a WRS is started as FR and keeps running as FR it does generate PPS. When a WRS is configured to use BMCA(*) and another WRS is connected to one of the ports which based on BMCA becomes a master (our WRS becomes slave). Now PLL changes mode from FR to BC. It still generates a correct PPS. Then if the other switch (master) is disconnected, the PLL on the switch of our interest goes back to FR mode. Unfortunately, now the PPS is not generated, while it should be.
*-- Using BMCA is probably not necessary to reproduce this bug.
The issue is also present when GM is promoted after GM degradation due to unlock of PLL.
Workaround is to use the option "Force PPS generation" in dot-config
