Simple PXIe FMC Carrier SPEXI issueshttps://ohwr.org/project/spexi/issues2019-02-12T10:20:11Zhttps://ohwr.org/project/spexi/issues/4V1 - layout improvements possible2019-02-12T10:20:11ZErik van der BijV1 - layout improvements possibleThe CERN design office improved and finalised the design
http://edms.cern.ch/nav/EDA-02839/EDA-02839-V1-0 on 25 September 2013.
The design office has detected the following issues that may be looked
into further to see if they may give problems:
-----
-----
Or, in English:
- Components too close one to another: (not modified)
- Vias-in-pad on SMD components (141 errors): (not modified)
- Wire that cuts power planes (differential pairs\!\!): (not modified)
- Antenna wires (loose on one end): (did the most important ones)https://ohwr.org/project/spexi/issues/3V1 - M25P128-VME6G obsolete?2019-02-12T10:20:10ZErik van der BijV1 - M25P128-VME6G obsolete? The SPEXI uses the M25P128-VMF6G.
Note that the M25P128-VME6GB (different: E and GB) has a last time buy
in 12-2017. Check if similar problem for VMF6G used on the SPEXI.

To generate triggers on the PXIe bus:
1\. PXI Triggers
2\. PXI Star Triggers
3\. PXI Differential Star Triggers
And to check if:
4\. The onboard clock (OCXO) is disciplinable
5\. It can do time synchronised clock generation for timing events
(scheduled event generation).

This solution will be used (with agreement from CERN) for new
productions of the SVEC by JanzTec from January 2018 on.
