DDS upgrade project meeting notes.
This page describes the outcomes and discussion points raised in
meetings between Creotech and CERN. The outline of the project is to:
- Create new schematics for a EDA-03010-v3.0.
- Generate a new PCB layout description.
- Provide a Production Test System (PTS) that can be used to validate
the cards that have been
manufactured.
Meeting 24/01/2019 - present Creotech (Mikołaj Sowiński), CERN (John Gill)
Items discussed:
- JG gave an overview of the project's direction, with the final goal
to produce a RFoWR starter kit. This kit will encompass hardware
(orderable from vendors like Creotech) and software packages that can
been downloaded from CERN to configure device drivers, firmware and
gateware (FPGA images). Working together, these hardware and software
components will provide users with a quick start guide to configuring
and controlling their RF distribution project.
- Creotech have not yet received notification that the contract has
been signed and accepted by CERN.
- ACTION: A1.1 - JG to seek clarification with EVB about the
status of the contract.
- Creotech would like access to the CERN Altium DRC rules (schematics
and layout) that are mentioned in DO-30550.
- ACTION: A1.2 - JG to provide Creotech with these documents.
- We discussed the need for both Creotech and CERN to place
documentation (e.g. schematic bundle) in a common place.
- ACTION: A1.3 - JG to investigate where CERN can place these
documents.
- JG enquired about the current status of the schematics. CERN received
an updated set of schematics from GK (09/01/19). This was reviewed at
CERN and comments attached. Is there a new set of schematics addressing
the issues raised?
- ACTION: A1.4 - MS to clarify the schematic status with GK.
