Project description
Freewatch is a fully open electronic watch project featuring an
integrated GPS.
The project was started at CERN to make a special present for a retiring
colleague who likes hiking and timing.
The full design (electronics, mechanics, software) is available under
open licenses and, what's more, the design is exclusively made with open
tools.
Specifications
- Electronics: PCB, including battery and power management strategy
- Mechanics: watch case, buttons, USB cap
- Software. Bootloader, drivers, applications, interface to USB host
